MoCCA!
Hey everybody! I'll be in New York at MoCCA Festival selling comics this Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 6pm. It's at the Lexington Ave Armory, 68 Lexington Ave.
I'll be tabling with Dakota McFadzean, Nate Wootters and Dave W. Again, my table is M3, near the back. My buddies from Samandal will also be there, at table L4. Come buy awesome comics from EVERYBODY!

Thesis Packet
I finished up the construction for my thesis packet this past Tuesday!
It's a handmade hardbacked folder. Kind of like a hardback book, but instead of endpapers and signatures, it's got built in pockets which hold the four books that make up my thesis:
2. The Man Who Built Beirut (with a revised cover and new appendices!)
3. Two Stories (with a slightly modified cover to fit the color scheme)
4. Et Cetera (a collection of freelance and miscellaneous work).
The colors are little washed out in this photo, but believe me, they look preeeeeetty spiffy.

A Secret Plot in Syria
I had another story in Slate! It's about the 1949 coup that sent Syria in decades of political turmoil. Click through here to read it.

Creeping Excerpts
Here are a few excerpts from the finished pages of The Creeping Things. I'll be doing final edits and getting the whole package together in the coming week.
In other news, I was interviewed (along with a bunch of other students) for a New Hampshire Public Radio program on the Center for Cartoon Studies. I also got a cool scholarship courtesy of the pinball machines in CCS' media room! It's been a good week.

Cartoon Picayune Cover
Meant to post this last week, but I did the cover for the Spring issue of Josh Kramer's awesome Cartoon Picayune. It's debuting at TCAF in Toronto, and it'll feature The Man Who Built Beirut in it. It'll also be for sale at CAKE in Chicago and SPX in Bethesda. Go read Josh's post for the full rundown!
In other news, I finished the inks for The Creeping Things about a week and a half ago. I'll post some more previews of it in the comics days, as I tweak and clean it and figure out what to do with the sucker.
